My Doug Fir Chai Tea is a popular seasonal beverage, available each autumn and winter. The flavors are the perfect combination of spicy warmth mixed with bright evergreen undertones. And when I was making the first batch of it for this season, I was struck by how heavenly the aromas wafting from the jars were. 

I realized there needed to be a candle inspired by this tea.

This candle is made from 100% soy wax and essential oils- no synthetic scents. It is housed in a frosted glass jar, and dressed in this scene (gorgeously illustrated by Delia Perez!) of a cabin in the woods surrounded by mushrooms and fir trees. To the side is a table set with two hot cups of tea, one for you and me. Or you and your best friend. Or you and yourself. 

In a word, this candle is COZY...AF. 

As with my other candles, it contains a wooden wick, which crackles softly as it burns. If you aren't used to burning candles with wooden wicks, here are some tips to ensure they burn properly:

•  During the first burn, burn the candle at least until there is a wax pool throughout the full width of the candle. Really, all burns should follow this rule of thumb to keep wax even.  
• Before each burn, remove the ash or burnt wood along the top edge of the wick, and then light as usual.
